Petite Garden – Crafts & Co

I didn’t *quite* follow the instructions.

I decided not to follow the instructions entirely because most of it was papercraft, and given the option, I would much rather have a tactile, realistic material over printed paper.

What I changed:

• No paper vases but actual glass vials
• No paper crate but one made of wood
• No paper silky planter but one with actual fabric
• Added a floor using diamond painting drills
• Added wallpaper and trims
• Painted it entirely differently and a little dirtier
• Added accents like little metal parts for the gate hinges
• Structural updates like an outside window frame for depth
• I left out the light source, mostly because I’d like to use that somewhere else…

What I changed:

• I refuse to put paper floors in my dioramas so I replaced the floor with wood.
• Added trims to the wallpapered wall.
